Ubisoft announces APAC Cup 2024!

APAC Cup 2024 us a new APAC wide tournament that culminates in a Grand Final to be held in Tokyo, Japan in front of a live audience in Shinjuku.

Teams will battle it out through region-dedicated Open Qualifiers and each APAC region will send one team to the Grand Final LAN in Tokyo.

Open Qualifiers will be held over two successive days, with BLAST R6 competing teams seeded directly into Day 2 based on their standings in the Stage 2 Group Stage.

Please note that this tournament has no connection otherwise to the BLAST R6 Global Esports Circuit, which means that no global points will be awarded in this competition for SI 2024.

Region

South East Asia Region includes the following countries and regions: Chinese-Taipei, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives.

Format

BLAST R6 competing teams will be seeded 1-6 based on their standings in the 2024 Stage 2 Group Stage, and there are 2 slots for the Top 2 Teams from Open Qualifiers Day 1.

8 Teams will compete in a single elimination bracket. Games will be best-of-one (BO1) until Region Grand Final, which will be a best-of-three (BO3).

BLAST Seeds 1 and 2 will verse Day 1 Seeds 2 and 1 respectively, and BLAST Seeds 3-6 will verse such that the two seeded teams are inversely matched.

The winner of the Region Grand Final will proceed to the LAN Grand Final in December in Tokyo.

Server Selection

• Matches are to be played on Asia South East by default.
• If both teams agree, they may play instead on Asia East or UAE North.
• In the case of a disagreement, the server with the best average match ping should be used.

Rehosts and Timeouts

1 rehost per team per map. Rehosts are non-transferrable.

1 Tactical Time Out per team per map. TTOs are non-transferrable as they benefit both teams.

RH in Preparation Phase

• Before the start of the Preparation Phase
• Any technical issues, including the game and server, Player disconnect, and/or authorized software or hardware problems

RH in Action Phase

• Up to the first thirty (30) seconds of the Action Phase and if no damage has been taken by any Player
• Player unable to control or move Operator
• Game mechanic issues including shooting, reloading, movement, gadgets, or equipment

Cosmetics

During REKT R6 competitions’ official matches, Players can only use the battle dress uniforms and headgears listed below. All other battle dress uniforms and headgear are banned from use in competitive play:

• Operator’s default skins
• Pro League skins (gold sets)
• Pro R6Share teams branded cosmetics
• Six Major branded cosmetics
• Six Invitational branded cosmetics
• Esports Programs’ cosmetics

In case an unauthorised skin is used, this needs to be flagged in a ticket immediately with proof, no sanction will be brought retroactively at the end of a match.

Using any battle dress uniforms and/or headgears that are not permitted will result in a warning for first offense and a round loss for any additional offense. Weapon skins, weapon charms and operator background cards are not subject to any restriction.

Drone skins and operator gadget skins are all forbidden in competitive play. Players can only use the default drone and operator gadget skins.

Anti-Cheat

The following applications are required for participation in OCEANIC RIVALS and any activity that restricts, prohibits or alters their use are expressly forbidden:

• Monitor System Status (MOSS) download here

1. The MOSS must have the Rainbow Six Siege parameter, to do so follow these steps: "File" -> "Parameters" -> "Rainbow Six"
2. All matches must be recorded.
3. All MOSS files must be created, unaltered and stored in your computer for 30 days post conclusion of the final day of play, and the Admin Team can request these files for verification at any point in this time period.
4. You are obligated to ensure MOSS is correctly recording for every game played. Any issues should be immediately flagged with the Admin Team via a Discord Support Ticket.
5. Any team unable to produce MOSS files of ALL players at Admin request may risk penalties such as loss of match or disqualification from the tournament.

Substitution

• No substitution will be allowed in ongoing Maps without Admin approval, substitution is allowed between maps in a multimap series.
• Substitution should be arranged before match lobby begins within your ChallengerMode Team to ensure the Admin Team and opposition team know team composition for the match. If there are any issues, please contact Admins on Discord BEFORE veto begins.
