FAQ

Q. What is the preseason? A. The preseason is a chance for teams to familiarize themselves with how NESO works before the open qualifiers, scrimmage against other teams and earn prizes!

Q. Who can join? A. Any rank can join the preseason! As long as your team meets the requirements to join.

Q. Do I need to be in the Discord? A. We require all teams to use one of our voice channels while participating in our events. They should be in the channel 30 minutes prior to the set start time.

Q. How do bans work? A. Bans are done through the Challengermode website. Every team will need to ready up before their match to start bans.

Q. How do I play against my opponent? A. Use the Challengermode chat to communicate with your opponent. The higher seed (On top of the bracket) will create the lobby and invite their opponent's leader. Both teams will invite their teams, ensure the lobby is set up correctly, and ready up.

Q. What settings do we use in our lobby? A. Closed Lobby, Tournament Mode: On, Hide Match History: Off, Allow Cheats Off, Overtime: Win by Two: On, Play Out All Rounds: Off.

Q. What server do we play on? A. Central servers, whichever has the lowest average ping, unless both teams agree on another server.

Q. When are brackets released? A. Typically at the start of the event, unless otherwise stated.

Q. How do I sub players in? What are the rules on timeouts? A. Please read our event guidelines at www.PlayNESO.com/eventguidelines

How to Register

• Please create a team or party on the Challengermode website. Then click the button to join our event!

• You will be required to then fill out a form by clicking that same button.

• Upon completion of the form, we will review your information and where you'll be seeded. Remember to join the Discord! It makes it far easier for us to contact about prize money and in the event, anything goes wrong.

• Your team will be required to go to this page and confirm your entry within 24 hours before the tournament starting. Please contact support if you need assistance with this process.

• After this point you will officially be entered into the tournament and ready to compete! Remember to show up at least 30 minutes early so you can ask any questions, ready up on time, and review your bracket!
