Get ready for high-stakes Rainbow Six action with The Malta Cyber Series VIII: Rainbow Six Siege Edition!
This competition will pit top European teams against each other in a battle for supremacy. The online qualifiers will test their skills and strategies as they vie for a coveted spot in the Offline Finals, hosted in Malta. The tournament format includes eight intense online qualifiers, a thrilling Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ), and a three-day, double-elimination live final showdown in Malta. The top four teams from the LCQ will secure spots in the Offline Finals and receive travel and accommodation subsidies for Malta.
With a $20,000 prize pool up for grabs, the pressure is on. Only the best will claim the title of The Malta Cyber Series VIII: Rainbow Six Siege champion.

QUALIFIER RULES
General
- One player or coach from each team must be nominated as the team point of contact. This person must join the Discord server here: https://discord.xyz/MCSR6
- All tournament announcements, support, and admin decisions will be made in Discord. Community casts are permitted for the 8 Online Qualifiers. Any interested casters can join the Discord: https://discord.xyz/MCSR6
- Player streaming is permitted with a minimum delay of 3 minutes.
- Fairplay and sportsmanship is expected of all teams in preparation of, and while competing in, the Cyber Series.
- Tournament admins reserve the right to forfeit matches or eliminate teams at their discretion.
- Players need to report their score on the platform and join a screenshot of the result Please note that the result is automatically approved 7 minutes after a team reported a score. If not contested by then, the score will be considered correct and won't be reverted.
Residency and Roster Restrictions
Active rosters must contain at least 3 out of 5 players who reside from the list of permitted countries for each stage.

Proof of residency maybe asked of the players by admin teams at any point during and after the qualifiers.
Players not part of the above list of countries may also take part but (3/5 still applies), in the event of qualification players will need to make sure they have acquired the necessary visas to be able to travel to Malta. The organisers will not be arranging player visas.
In case of qualification, a subsidized amount will be provided to cover travel costs for the team, Teams are free to choose their departure location; however, ** please note that any costs exceeding the subsidized amount may not be covered, and teams could be expected to manage these additional expenses**
Catering and accommodation for the LAN finals in Malta will be provided for 5 players + 1 substitute or coach.
Roster
- Teams are allowed 2 substitutes. The use of a substitute on the active roster must be declared to tournament admins no less than 12 hours ahead of tournament stage start time and the substitute must play all matches in that stage.
- Qualifying teams may change players between tournament stages but they must keep 3 out of the 5 players from the active roster that originally qualified.
- Once qualified, teams cannot compete in any further qualifiers.
- All players must be over 18 years of age.
Server
- The default server is EU West
- Server selection for Online Qualifiers can also be mutually agreed upon by both teams, in the event that an agreement cannot be reached tournament admins will select the server.
- Server rehosts are permitted once per team per map during the Preparation Phase or before any damage has been taken in the Action Phase. Reasons for a rehost include disconnects and game bugs that limit player control.
Cosmetics
Players can only use the battle dress uniforms and headgears listed below. All other battle dress uniforms and headgear are banned from use in competitive play:
Operator’s default skins Pro League skins (gold sets) Pro teams branded cosmetics Esports Programs’ cosmetics Drone skins & Elite skins are not allowed (including gadgets, excluding animation).
Cosmetics penalties (drone skins, gadget skins, uniforms and headgears)
- 1st Offence: Warning
- 2nd Offence: Round loss
- 3rd Offence: Map loss
This will not be applied retroactively at the end of a map or a match, therefore this needs to be brought to admins immediately if an unallowed skin is observed.
You may request a rehost from your opponent to remove the unallowed skin immediately or at the next round if you do not wish to report it to the admins, which is usually the best way to deal with this situation. If you have such agreement, please don't escalate it further.
Any abuse of the reporting system concerning skins may be penalised.
Monitor System Status
- Monitor System Status (MOSS) must be downloaded and installed before competing in Open or Closed Qualifiers: https://nohope.eu/
- MOSS must have the Rainbow Six Siege parameter, to do so you can follow these steps: "File" → "Parameters" → "Rainbow Six" and must record all matches.
- Players must keep MOSS files created, unaltered, and stored on their computer for the next 15 days. Only tournament admins will request saved MOSS files, and they are not required to provide a reason for the request.
