GENERAL RULEBOOK 0.1 The Legion Esports General Rulebook is an integrative part of the rules of every Legion Esports event.
GENERAL 1.1 Tournament Mode: Single Elimination 1.2 All matches will be decided by a Best of 2 [Bo2] 1.3 Only each player's own FUT-Team is allowed. 1.3.1 Loaned players are allowed. 1.3.2 Max of 1 Icon 1.4 Game platform: PlayStation5 only 1.5 From the quarterfinal onwards one of the players must stream the match. Otherwise, both lose the match. 1.6 If a match ends in a draw, it automatically goes into extra time. If no winner can be determined here, a penalty shoot-out will be held afterward. 1.7 Gameplay rules: 1.7.1 Players CANNOT block or interfere with the opposing GK on set pieces. 1.7.2 Players CANNOT defend their goal by standing on the line from a free-kick. 1.7.3 Players must not waste time. - Holding the ball in corners is strictly forbidden. It DOES NOT include passing the ball around, but you must make an effort to play the game.
PLAYER/TEAM ADMISSIBILITY 2.1 To be allowed to participate in this event, players must be physically located and reside in the Republic of Ireland 2.2 Using a VPN will result in disqualification from the current event as well as a ban from all future Legion Esports events. 2.3 Every player plays for themselves, there are no teams needed for participation. 2.4 Players must put their PSN ID in their Challenger Mode account to be eligible.
GAME SETTINGS 3.1 Half Length: 6min 3.2 Controls: Any 3.3 Game Speed: Normal 3.4 Stadium: FUT Stadium / Challenger Stadium 3.5 Participants are responsible for ensuring that the game settings are correctly applied. Games that have started the 2nd half will not be restarted due to wrong settings. 3.6 If a participant notices a wrong setting, they must communicate these directly to their opponent so that they can be adjusted. If the game has already started and the parties cannot agree on a restart, the affected party must contact the admin team, including a screenshot of the incorrect settings.
MATCH PROCEDURE 4.1 Both players check in on https://www.challengermode.com/
4.2 Each player will handle necessary communication (joining info, result confirmation, disputes).
4.3 As soon as the opponents of a match are clear, the players will contact each other the within 5minutes to announce that they are or are not ready to play. 4.4 All results must be registered and accepted within 10min after the match has concluded (time has run out or the last goal has hit in Overtime) on https://www.challengermode.com/. Failure to do so results in the forfeiture of the failing team. 4.5 The admins may, at their discretion, order a game or match to be replayed and their decisions are final. 4.6 Players must take a screenshot of the final result to prove their win after a match in case of a dispute. 4.7 In accordance with FIFA settings, each player is entitled to up to 3 (three) match pauses per match with a maximum of 40 (forty) seconds to change formations, change players or make other match-related adjustments. These scheduled stoppages can be taken by a player if a game interruption occurs within FIFA (e.g. ball out of bounds, free kick, red card). 4.8 If a match ends in a draw, it automatically goes into extra time. If no winner can be determined here, a penalty shoot-out will be held afterward.
PUNCTUALITY 5.1 If a player is absent (not contactable or unresponsive) for 5 minutes after check in, he will lose game 1. 5.2 They will also lose an additional game for every 5 minutes until they respond. At a maximum of 15 minutes unresponsive, they will have therefore lost three games and have completely lost and forfeited the match.). 5.3 A responsive player may be granted more time to start their next game if approved by the admins.
CONNECTION 6.1 If a disconnection happens in the middle of a game, the player that lost a player has 5 minutes to allow the player to reconnect, at which time the game is halted. If they do not manage to recreate their original team within the running game, they have forfeited the game to the other team. 6.2 Admins have the final rule over any detailed decisions.
SPORTSMANSHIP 7.1 All players are expected to display sportsmanlike behavior during the entire tournament. This includes being respectful to all other players and all tournament staff. 7.2 Unprofessional behavior, at the discretion of Legion Esports/Admins, may be punished with game loss, match loss, and/or disqualification, including bans from all future Legion Esports events. This includes, but is not limited to: cheating playing on, or allowing another player to play on, an account registered to another player collusion not competing to one’s fullest ability («sandbagging») failing to cooperate with admins disconnecting from the in-game lobby early interfering with the operation of the tournament (e.g., checking into a match but then being unresponsive and not setting up the match) harassing/disrespectful conduct (e.g., using slurs) going back to the team’s selection screen in-game willingly and without reason
TO DECISION FINALITY & SANCTIONS 8.1 All Admin Decisions in any matter during the tournament are final as soon as they claim so and not to be discussed. 8.2 Continuous open or DM’d questioning, criticism, etc. of Admins decisions or overly inflammatory reactions (including but not limited to calling Admins names, calling the organization names, trying to rile up other players, etc.) will result in a ban at the Admins or Legion Esports staff's discretion. 8.3 Legion Esports may institute additional sanctions for behavior described in 9.2. up to and including a general ban of the player and/or their team from all future events.
AMENDMENTS 9.1 Legion Esports may update, revise, change or modify these rules at any time. 9.2 The ruleset that was active and communicated at the beginning of a tournament will be the sole ruleset for said tournament. Any updated, revised, changed or modified rules will only take effect for the next tournament.
