Tournament Overview

Before Registering

1. Run a practice match to confirm Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) is active and your game is updated to the latest version.
2. Ensure your Steam Profile is Public.
3. Ensure your challengermode and Steam usernames are included in the appropriate form and webex space.

Specific Game Rules

• Format: 5v5 Double Elimination

• Timeouts: One 60-second tactical timeout per team per map; technical pauses require organizer approval via Challengermode or Webex.

• Map Selection: From CS2 competitive map pool; Teams to decide on the 3.

• Regular Matches (Early Rounds and Semifinals):

  • Format: Best-of-1 (BO1).
  • Each map is played for 16 rounds (8 rounds per side, with sides swapping at halftime after round 8).
  • Side Selection: Determined by knife round. Teams play 8 rounds on their starting side (Terrorists/Counter-Terrorists), swap sides at halftime, and continue for 8 more rounds.
  • If tied after 16 rounds, overtime follows (6 rounds, 3 per side, swapping every 3 rounds).

• Grand Finals:

  • Format: Best-of-3 (BO3).
  • Each map follows the same 16-round structure and overtime rules as regular matches.
  • Side Selection: Alternating per map as per Challengermode rules.
  • For each map, teams play 8 rounds on their starting side, swap at halftime, and continue for 8 more rounds.
