Tournament Overview

The Chompix Cup is a tournament exclusively for anyone willing to participate in Tier 1 Open Qualifiers.

Tournament Details

Eligibility

• Each team must be added to our allowed list.
• Invite link will be posted on Discord, and teams must be ready on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prize Pool

• 1st: 25 USDC (base)
• If you prefer a PayPal payout, then you will receive twenty dollars instead.
• Only teams from the allowed-list can claim the prize.
• Players must claim their share by Sunday of the given week. Players who do not claim their share will forfeit their winnings.

Participants

• Up to 16 registered teams.
• No stand-ins allowed.

Dates

• One Day Event
  • 8:00 pm (New York)
• Rolling schedule.

Format

• Single Elimination.
• All games are Best-of-1 (Bo1) series.

Game Format

• U.S. East server.
• Captains Mode.

Streaming Platform

• Players can stream their own game perspectives. To ensure fair play, set a stream delay in OBS to prevent stream sniping.
• If you are streaming without a delay, please do not send us a complaint about stream sniping issues.
• The tournament will not be officially streamed, but players are highly encouraged to showcase their gameplay.
• Community casters may engage in commercial activities using DOTA TV feeds on their streams. DOTA TV will have a 5-minute delay.

⚠️ Rules

No Smurfs

• No smurf profiles are allowed under any circumstances.

No Alternate Accounts

• Players must use their main account. Smurfs and alternate accounts are strictly prohibited.

No Wintraders (Outside of the Tournament)

• Fair play is mandatory. If a player is found to have engaged in win trading (outside the tournament itself) during or before the tournament, they will not be disqualified but will be permanently exiled from the Chompix Hub.

Pause Format

• The pause format follows the same rules as public matches. Pauses are limited, so make sure not to exhaust them. Be courteous with your opponents and use your pause time wisely.

Q&A

What if a team is late?

• There will be no active admin overseeing the tournament. If you miss your queue for any reason, your team will be disqualified. No reschedules or exceptions. GG.

What if I’m playing against a potentially smurf player?

• Just play the game and do your best. If the player is confirmed to be a smurf, they will be exiled from the Chompix Hub permanently. Since there isn’t an active admin, there’s nothing we can do at the given moment. Apologies for the inconvenience! You can report the incident, and we will evaluate the request within 72 hours.

Can we contact someone for help during the event?

• No active admins will be available during the tournament. The games will run as scheduled, and it’s up to the teams to ensure everything goes smoothly.
